Chef Nicolas Cloiseau*, Creative Director of La Maison du Chocolat, believes it is never too early to dream about the holidays so he has already begun his countdown to this year’s magical season. The trees, lights, gifts, elves, and, most of all, the fabulous confections that emerge from his kitchen are already coming to life in his sweet interpretations.
TREE OF REVERIES
A limited edition artistic piece made entirely by hand, this finely worked tree has 78 dark chocolate shiny or matte bubbles in six different diameters featuring eight scenes etched with watchmaking precision into delicate layers of dark, milk and ivory chocolate or gold leaf. The intricacy of the gold tree trunk grabs attention, while the finely crafted Christmas tree bubbles steal the show and are a testimony to chef’s poetic craftsmanship and artistry.
