Pearl Chocolate cup

A new chocolate drink presented in a tube filled with pearls ... These pearls will deliver an onctuous intense chocolate drink, to be served hot or cold.


Recipe for 4 servings:


-Hot Chocolate:

Pour 750ml of milk and 250ml of water into a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Add the chocolate pearls (210g) to the boiling liquid and mix with a whisk to evenly melt the chocolate. Whisk until the mixture starts to boil again (and again after boil). Lower the temperature and let the hot chocolate reduce for 2 to 3 minutes. Strain the hot chocolate before serving.


-Cold Chocolate Beverage:

Use the same method as for the hot chocolate. Change the quantities to 500ml of milk and 500ml of water. Do not reduce the mixture as this will cause it to thicken when it is refrigerated. Prepare the chocolate a day before serving.


-A Tip from La Maison du Chocolat:

Cocoa powder and vanilla may be added to the milk and water prior to boiling. For best results, prepare a few hours prior to consumption.
